BIG DIP UPDATE

The Rise Foundation Big Dip Takes place next Saturday October 10th on Killiney Beach. All places are now full and we are very excited to welcome 120 brave swimmers on the day.

2020 has been a trying year for all charities and ours is no exception. The challenges of lockdown and the ongoing restrictions have placed enormous extra stresses on people with a loved one in addiction and the demand for our services has never been greater. Frances and our wonderful team have risen to the challenge and moved our services online and we are committed to developing new online offerings where appropriate.

The efforts of Jonathan Smith and his wonderful team to organise and run this wonderful fundraiser for the Rise has been a blessing and is so appreciated after all other fundraisers were postponed. We will never be able to thank them enough.

How can you help?

If you can’t get to Dublin on the day or missed out on a spot please think of doing your own Dip on the day (Please adhere to all COVID-19 regulations), take a photograph and post on social media with the hashtag #dip4rise. All participants will be entered in a prize draw.

Most importantly if you can swim on the day or not please make a donation and sponsor our wonderful swimmers. All funds will allow us to continue to meeting the growing demand and develop new services. We also want to be ready to restart face to face programs when appropriate. Please give what you can knowing that you will be doing your bit to help all those family members struggling in these strange times.
