Walk the Camino to Finistere with Frances Black in aid the RISE Foundation this October 2015

Have you ever dreamed of walking the St James Way or Camino? Now is your chance to make your dream come true!!

This October, Frances Black and a wonderful group of people are planning, with the help of the Dublin-based Camino Experts Follow the Camino, to accompany a group of at least 30 people on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure on the Camino de Santiago also known as the Way of St James, a 1000 years old Heritage Trail to Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain.

The group will spend 5 days walking 15 to 25km per day to complete the Finistere Way of the Camino. We will walk along the beautiful pathways of Galicia,we will enjoy warm evenings of good food, fun, laughter, friendship and maybe even a couple of songs.Go on make that dream come true and join us,you won't regret it!!!

Departure will be on Saturday, October 3rd from Dublin airport. An experienced and bilingual guide will help us immerse into the Camino and Galician culture. Along the route we will stay in carefully selected 2-4* hotels where we will be treated to traditional and delicious Galician dishes and wine.

Here are some creative ideas to get funds for your trip.

* Create your own fundraising page on http://www.mycharity.ie/create.php and ask people to sponsor you.

* Car boot sale-can include all sorts of old treasures and gifts

* “Give it Up” – campaign to ask friends, family, work colleagues to give up chocolate (€1) or their a morning latte (€2) for a month or two and donate the money instead to the charity. This reminds us all of how much we have to be thankful for and what we can do without for a short period of time to make a big difference and change a family members life.

*Raffle in work-Ask a local shop, restaurant for a gift voucher or venue for tickets to a concert and raffle them among family and friends..

*Walk/Run-Ask your friends to sponsor you for a walk or a run..

*Sale of Work- Ask friends and family to donate old clothes or household wares that they don't want and sell them..

Be creative and let us know if you come up with a new idea to share with others!
