RISE Services - Survey Findings

Results from a recent independent survey of family members who participated on RISE Family Programmes and/or attended our 1 to 1 Counselling Service showed that:

* Almost 84% of respondents felt that their awareness and understanding of the impact of their loved one’s addictive behaviour on themselves and on their family had Increased Significantly.

* Over 72% felt that their awareness of the need for setting boundaries had Increased Significantly

* Just over 98% indicated that their awareness of themselves and their needs had Increased overall.

1 to 1 Counselling Service Available

Our 1 to 1 Counselling Service is available to anyone who is anxious or worried by a loved ones Alcohol, Drug, Gambling or Food problem.

Dangers of demon drink outlined

Dr. Bedford said “The impact on family life in terms of the effect on relationships, disruption to home and work life might not be easily calculated, but we do know that alcohol is a factor in half of the suicides in Ireland while a quarter of deaths of young men are the result of alcohol.”
